However, while things may seem to be at odds, there is nothing more comforting and reassuring than sitting down to read and/or watch your favorite anime girl! Whether they have made their debut this past season, or returned for yet another cour, the girls featured on this list have captured the hearts and attention of many, and we are here to show our appreciation for each and every one of them! Without further ado, let us get right into our current list of Top 10 Anime Girls of 2020!

 

1. Nezuko (Demon Slayer/Kimetsu no Yaiba)

Have you ever seen such an angelic demon? As ferocious as she can be when her brother Tanjiro is in peril, Nezuko Kamado won the hearts of many fans with the undeniable Demon Slayer mania that swept over the fan community. With each chapter of its manga and each episode of anime released, Demon Slayer fans have latched onto the series for its thrilling plot, incredible fights, and--most of all--its cast of loveable characters, with Nezuko certainly being no exception.

Heartstrings are sure to be tugged when she is at odds with her new demonic instincts, or during those precious moments where she is being the cute imouto that everyone adores!

Demon Slayer follows the journey of Tanjiro Kamado and his younger sister Nezuko in his quest to become a demon slayer after the massacre of their family at the hands of demons. With Nezuko having been turned into a demon as well, Tanjiro sets off on an epic quest to avenge the loss of their family and help his sister turn back into a human, all while making new allies and facing off against new foes each step of the way. 

 

2.Kaguya (Kaguya-sama: Love is War/Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai)

The beautiful star of the newest romantic comedy anime that has so many weebs in love: Kaguya Shinomiya! Despite the cool and elegant aura that her character exudes, fans of the series know all too well of the preciously flustered lovestruck girl that lies beneath! Whether through its manga or its anime, fans tune in to see what sort of romantic hijinks that Kaguya gets into as she and her crush Miyuki Shirogane try to get the other to confess their feelings.

Kaguya-sama: Love is War centers around Shuchiin Academy's student council president Miyuki Shirogane and Kaguya Shinomiya. While Miyuki comes from an average upbringing, his grades and intellect are at the top of the school, whereas Kaguya is the heiress of an affluent family. Despite their mutual feelings for one another, their pride from their different backgrounds results in the two trying to get the other to confess their love for each other first. Each episode in the anime covers the madness that ensues, furthered even more by all the eccentric characters that make up its cast.

3.Maki (Fire Force)

The Witch Queen who has bewitched the world with her fiery charm! Tough as nails strength and a heart of gold--what’s not to love about Maki Oze from Fire Force?! With a penchant for all things cute and precious, she carries herself graciously--up until duty calls and it is time to bring on the heat! In one moment, she is adorably fawning over the thought of being called a “princess.” The next, she is going toe to toe in hand to hand combat with larger than life foes while seamlessly wielding her fire powers. You best watch what you say around her though! Make fun of her appearance and you will for sure feel the righteous burn of her fury!

After the flames of The Great Disaster ravaged most of the world, humans with the ability to spontaneously combust known as Infernals rose from the ashes with the intent to lay chaos. To fend off against the Infernals, specialized firefighting units by the name of Fire Force were soon formed. As he seeks to uphold the promise of becoming a hero to his late mother, Fire Force centers around Shinra Kusakabe upon his joining to Special Fire Force Company 8 and the journey that soon awaits.

Eyes that make your heart flutter like the wings of a butterfly: it’s Shinobu Kocho from Demon Slayer! With such striking eyes, a smile that never seems to waver, and such incredible strength, it is easy to see why so many Demon Slayer fans are enamored with Shinobu.

Whether she is crying to Kazuma, demanding fealty from her followers, or getting trapped in the mouth of yet another frog, there is plenty to love and adore from our beloved goddess Aqua!

KonoSuba follows the misadventures of teenage NEET Kazuma Sato. Upon meeting an embarrassing end, he finds himself transported to another world that is reminiscent to a standard fantasy MMORPG after meeting with a goddess by the name of Aqua. After successfully duping her into joining him, the two soon enter a world of comedic misfortune as they’re joined by the chaotic, explosion loving Megumin and the mighty yet masochistic crusader Darkness.

 

6.Katarina (My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom!/Hamefura)

The isekai genre continues to reign supreme this anime season, with Katarina Claes taking her rightful place at the top in My Next Life as a Villainess!  Affectionately referred to as Bakarina, she has enchanted many fans with her kind personality and silliness--much like she has done to her suitors in the show.  Bringing much joy to viewers, Katarina serves as a refreshing take on the isekai genre with every episode.


My Life as a Villainess follows the affluent Katarina Claes. After a bump to her head causes her to tap into the memories of her previous life as an otaku, she soon realizes that she now lives within the world of the dating game Fortune Lover as the main villain, who is fated to either perish or face exile no matter which route that the player takes. As she resolves to avoid meeting such a fate, the anime centers around her misadventures and how her actions affect the loveable cast around her and their connections to her.

With blushing cheeks that make you feel like you’re walking on air, Uraraka Ochaco continues to be the Best Girl of many anime fans upon the recent conclusion of the fourth season to My Hero Academia, along with this year’s theatrical run of Heroes Rising. The toothy yandere grin that has captivated fans worldwide! Since she took to the stage of My Hero Academia in the manga and anime, Himiko has become the favorite of many by her villainous eccentricities. As part of the League of Villains, her incredible knife skills and her Quirk of transformation into another person by the ingestion of their blood has made her a fan favorite for a good reason!
